SIMPLY LA Powered by NYLON Conference Recap


We aren’t ones to brag, but our SIMPLY LA Powered by NYLON Fashion & Beauty Conference was our biggest and best yet! Whether you made it out to The Grove this past Saturday and want to relive the fun or missed out and want to see what you missed out on, keep scrolling for our full recap of the incredible day! On Saturday, July 15th, we headed up to the rooftop of The Grove parking structure where we built up an incredible conference experience completely from scratch.

We kicked off the day with our keynote speaker, actress Ashley Greene, who chatted with NYLON global editor-in-chief Gabrielle Korn about her career so far and advice for success.


Following the keynote, attendees enjoyed 5 influencer panels and 7 breakout sessions focused on all aspects of blogging, fashion, social media, and branding. Guests could listen to influencer Becca Tilley’s advice on growing your social media, learn how NYX Cosmetics and PERVERSE Sunglasses founder Toni Ko built her business from nothing, and how to monetize your blog from influencer manager Jennifer Powell, to name just a few of our incredible speakers.

All the while, our attendees could visit our ever-popular brand experience, where 30 brands hosted pop-ups where attendees could sample, primp, and shop. Guests stopped by the WEN Hair & Body Care By Chaz Dean booth to receive custom fresh flower crowns and braided ‘dos, shopped the latest styles from JustFab and ShoeDazzle, and sampled refreshing cocktails from Lillet.


At the end of the busy day, attendees were sent on their way with fantastic gift bags full of beauty and lifestyle products, along with new friendships and lessons that will last a lifetime!
