Video content has never been more popular on social media! With the rise of video-centric apps like TikTok, as well as the myriad new effects on Instagram Stories that have made viral waves lately, if you aren’t capitalizing on these different forms of video content creation, you are missing out!

Here are 3 ways to incorporate more videos into your social strategy:

1) Test Instagram’s Effects Gallery

You’ve probably noticed everyone and their mothers sharing the “Which Disney Character Are You?” Instagram Story filter and other quiz filters like it. With the growing popularity of Instagram’s Effects Gallery, these filters are a fun and entertaining way to showcase your personality and spark conversations.

If you are really creative, you can even take a stab at creating a filter of your own using Facebook’s Spark AR Studio. Creators of these viral filters have seen their following numbers skyrocket, so this can be a great way to reach new audiences and grow your following.

2) Try Out TikTok

Is TikTok the new Instagram? Not quite, but it is growing more popular by the day, especially amongst the Gen Z set. We love that TikTok videos can go viral with ease, and the popularity of video trends and memes facilitates the discovery of new creators.

Brittany Xavier is already a pro of fashion-themed TikTok content if you need some inspiration. And bonus points: you can share TikTok videos to your Instagram feed and other social platforms, too!

3) Start An IGTV Series

Creating long-form content for Instagram is easier than ever these days, thanks to Instagram’s IGTV. Recent updates have made it so you can now post 1-minute previews of IGTVs in your feed, increasing the visibility of the video content.

Capitalize on the post style by creating a regular video series. You can decide how often you want to post (monthly, daily, weekly…it’s up to you!) and pick a topic that you are passionate about. Maybe you are obsessed with new beauty brands and feature a different under-the-radar company each week, or showcase your favorite outfits of the month with an edited video.

You can also cross-promote YouTube videos to your IGTV and vice versa. Why create content for just one channel when you can share it to all your followers instead?
